Defense Secretary Mattis disagrees with President Trump — yet again

It’s getting to be quite a habit.

Last month, during his confirmation hearing, Defense Secretary Mattis “took a confrontational position on Russia that sharply differed from the president-elect’s affable courtship of Vladimir Putin, the Russian president.”

Today, Mattis again spoke his mind, saying that “he does not see the press as the enemy of the American people, disagreeing with a claim made by President Trump on Friday.”

Mattis also “acknowledged the chaotic nature of Trump’s administration so far.”

Obviously, General Mattis is by no means a yes-man to President Trump.

Which is as it should be.
